But like why is there still this concept that males don’t like cute mushy romantic shit and being emotionally taken care of? Just the other day I was cuddling with my boyfriend and after admiring him for awhile I told him, “Your eyes are so beautiful, they look like mini oceans” and I swear to god I heard him squeak in embarrassment and saw his cheeks actually begin to blush. Sometimes he likes being the little spoon and although I’m half his size I’m always happy to play jet pack. If he’s having a bad day he knows he can lay his head on my shoulder and just bawl his eyes out and I won’t think any less of him. Guys have emotional needs and want to feel loved and taken care of too yanno.

Boys deserve emotional reassurance just like anybody. They deserve compliments and cuteness, too.

aloneindarknes7: calystarose: Because treating people fairly often means treating them differently. This is something that I teach my students during the first week of school and they understand it. Eight year olds can understand this and all it costs is a box of band-aids. I have each students pretend they got hurt and need a band-aid. Children love band-aids. I ask the first one where they are hurt. If he says his finger, I put the band-aid on his finger. Then I ask the second one where they are hurt. No matter what that child says, I put the band-aid on their finger exactly like the first child. I keep doing that through the whole class. No matter where they say their pretend injury is, I do the same thing I did with the first one. After they all have band-aids in the same spot, I ask if that actually helped any of them other than the first child. I say, “Well, I helped all of you the same! You all have one band-aid!” And they’ll try to get me to understand that they were hurt somewhere else. I act like I’m just now understanding it. Then I explain, “There might be moments this year where some of you get different things because you need them differently, just like you needed a band-aid in a different spot.”  If at any time any of my students ask why one student has a different assignment, or gets taken out of the class for a subject, or gets another teacher to come in and help them throughout the year, I remind my students of the band-aids they got at the start of the school year and they stop complaining. That’s why eight year olds can understand equity.  (Source: citizenshipandsocialjustice, via lampfaced)

To those who are fans of MARVEL…Stan needs our help…please watch the video and spread the word!

I know I said I wouldn’t do any Marvel based posts after Mr. Ditko passed away, but this has to be known. This has to be shared. If only for Stan Lee’s sake. I cannot believe how horrible people can be. And to hear his own daughter is treating him so shabilly. This breaks my heart.

Anyone who claims to be a real Marvel fan will reblog this on all social media platforms. And you’ll write to the actors of the Marvel movies to help us also. It seems like only the actors and us, the fans, are the ones who really care about Mr. Lee anymore. Please guys. We have to help him. NOW.

Stan Lee is a hero to a lot of us. It’s time that we be a hero for him. And even if you don’t like Marvel, anyone who doesn’t tolerate elder abuse should help!

Please please please reblog this.

Stan Lee created Marvel Comics.

Stan Lee changed the world of entertainment as we know it by diverging from the norm and encouraging the acceptance of those who are different (X-Men mutants in 1963).

Stan Lee, at the age of 95, is giving up on life because everyone close to him is depending upon him like vultures.

Please please please reblog this. Maybe someone with influence can help him. Maybe the state will step in if enough people but them about it. Maybe we can make Stan’s twilight years enjoyable instead of the hell he’s going through.

Thanks you.

“Excelsior!”

REBLOGGGGGGGGGGGG

I am so angry at the world for making this man feel like he doesn’t have anything worthy in his life. Stan Lee is a hero who helped many of us with the universe he created. And now we should help him.
